Long time no see!

Hello,

it's been a while, isn't it!
And actually, I'm kind of surprised about myself as well - that I am actually reviving this blog again.

Lately, a lot of friends asked me about some updates about my life, and that they'd love to keep updated about what I am actually doing on the other side of the world: Japan.

To keep a long story short:

After I finished my studies, I decided to go for a "Working Holiday", to improve my Japanese skills and to gain "first-hand-experiences" about one of the countries I read and studied about so much in the past. While - as you probably know - it's not my first stay in Japan, you might agree that "living at a place" and just "going on holidays to visit a place" are two completely different things - so I wanted to try that. I wanted to challenge myself and to learn, learn and learn as much as possible.
So, well: now here I am.

I actually never planned to write some kind of "diary" about my stay here, but since lots of people keep asking me about it ("it" meaning like "the life in Japan"), I felt that it's a good idea to revive my blog. Also, I hope that some of you might get inspired (for a travel, or maybe even for a Working Holiday?), seeing the beauty of this country I am currently in, as well as getting insights of the life here in Tokyo.

So, hope to see you around! ('ω')
And as we say here in Japan:
よろしくお願いします!

It's Tokyo-time!

Hey hey, how're y'all doin'? :)

I was pretty busy preparing my trip to Tokyo lately. So, well, yeah, I'm still packing and stuff. And at the same time, I got to finish and send my applications - wanted to be already finished, actually, but one of my Senseis took quite too long to hand in some important documents, so I just can start now.

Additionally, I lately heared that Maestro-EMV-chipped cards will temporarily not work in Japan, because their ATM-system is updating. AND on top of that, 7-Bank (known for their convenient-stores all over the place, in which you usually find international ATMs which are free to use) is currently messing with MasterCard, because they kinda changed their terms and conditions regarding cooperational companies - and 7-Bank just don't like them. Well, so, to speak clearly, it's not possible to withdraw any money at 7-Bank-ATMs via Maestro, MasterCard and Cirrus. So I had to check things for that issue, too, since I don't want to be in Tokyo without any money |'D

Well, let's just say "s**t happens". orz

But thanks to a nice Japanese friend of me, I know where to get money even if there are these problems ☆ Thank you so much for your help!  (I also asked at our bank's office, but they just didn't know anything about that issue. At all. lol (ノω;`) ).

Nevertheless, I'm totally looking forward to go! (≧▽≦)☆ It's like I was waiting for years.

We'll go by Etihad, so we'll have a stop at Abu Dhabi. I'm totally nervous about that, since I heared that the Airport was so big and luxurious, haha ^^;
It's the first time I travel via Etihad, and of course it'll be my first impression of Abu Dhabi  (even though I'll only see the airport σ(・´ω`・) ). Of course I'll try to take lots of photos in Abu Dhabi as well!

I'm looking forward to see all my friends over there, and I'm so looking forward to meet new people as well :)

I will try to update my blog more often to share some impressions and photos with you! ☆

So, what else to say... I'm not quite sure whether I'll write another entry BEFORE I go, so... I'll keep it that way and feel allowed to say "See you next week in Tokyo!" (*´ω`*)

Flashback: Japan 2012 - Introducing Post

Since I was asked to write about my latest stay Japan, I want to share some photos with you - places, gets, impressions... just some things I think might be interesting for you (*´∀`*)

I will update this from time to time unter the tag "FLASHBACK", because I think that it's quite too much for just one posting... so please check my upcoming posts now and then to see further photos and explanations (●^_^●)

We left Frankfurt to Tokyo by Aeroflot (Russian Airlines) and had a stop at Sheremetyevo in Moscow. My suitcase was kind of empty when I left, because I already planned to buy some clothes in Tokyo (^^ゞ
(As for me, it is quite hard to buy clothes in Germany, because people here are lots of bigger than me on average... so most of times I don't find nice clothes in my size. That's why I prefer buying clothes in mediterran countries or even in Asia).

I might sound weird now, but I really enjoyed the stay at Frankfurt's Airport. I think this airport is quite pretty and has a nice atmosphere. I anyway think that airports have some charme, actually. Unfortunately, Sheremetjevo's International Airport was... different. It looked quite nice, but I had a strange feeling when we stopped there .__.!  To keep it short, the flight with Aeroflot itself was comfortable and we had some really nice entertainment computers to watch movies, series or even play some games (unfortunately, the food was... let's say "weird" D: So I usually just ate some salad and the dessert |D ).

(This used to be orange juice...)

I will stop writing here for now, since I think that the flight itself wasn't that interesting... (^^ゞ Next post will be more interesting, I promise ☆ I will try to summarize about the several areas we visited, so you'll be able to get a rough overview.
